where crafts cross-pollinate

Most of my best ideas are just one craft wearing another craft’s clothes.

I borrow a structure from one craft and rebuild it in another—a Celtic knot that becomes kumihimo-and-wire earrings, a weaving trick that sneaks into a braid—and I write down what happens. You don’t need to be an expert at any of it. You just need to be a little bit curious.

I’m Sarah. By day I write code; the rest of the time I braid, stitch, and hook things together. (Makyrie, by the way, is MAY-kuh-ree.)

about me

A craft mash-up artist (and a recovering perfectionist)

I don’t teach plain crochet or by-the-book weaving—there are wonderful people who already do that. What I do is smuggle ideas across the borders between crafts and see what grows. Sometimes it’s brilliant; sometimes it’s compost. Both are useful!

Love Letters

Every so often I write a letter to my favorite curious people—new experiments, what’s working, what spectacularly isn’t, and first dibs on workshop dates. And yes, I mean a real letter: paper, envelope, your actual mailbox. No firehose, no spam, just the good stuff—handmade and slow, on purpose.

Can be your first name, a nickname, “hey you”…
Enter it exactly as it should appear on the envelope to get to you, including your name and country.
Optional, if you want the ability to update this information later.

Your address stays with me—never sold, never shared, just used to send you letters. Stop anytime, no hard feelings. Privacy
